Rachel Davis

Manager of PPC

PPC Experience: 9+ Years

Rachel Davis brings nearly a decade of paid media experience, a curious mind, and plenty of personality to her role as Manager of PPC at Blue Ox Digital. She loves a good campaign puzzle: figuring out what’s working, what needs a rethink, and where the next opportunity is hiding. Whether she’s developing an eCommerce strategy, helping a client attract better leads, or coaching her team through a tricky account, Rachel brings enthusiasm, hands-on expertise, and questions that go well beyond “Did we get more clicks?”

Professional Certifications & Experience

PPC Certifications:

  • Google Display

  • Google Search

Rachel started her PPC career in 2017 and joined Blue Ox Digital in 2021. Since then, she’s worn plenty of hats: campaign strategist, account manager, performance analyst, creative collaborator, and team leader. She enjoys connecting those roles and turning business goals into a clear strategy, helping her team put it into action, and digging into the results to decide what comes next.

Managing people is one of her favorite parts of the job. Rachel works alongside team members from their first strategy brainstorm through campaign launches, testing, and ongoing optimization. She loves helping them build confidence, work through challenges, and develop their own instincts as marketers. Rachel loves to say “YAY” and celebrate a team member’s breakthrough.

Rachel graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a business degree and an emphasis in marketing. Digital marketing caught her attention, during her senior year, because it brought creativity, strategy, and measurable results together (not to mention she had a rock star professor). Nearly a decade later, the platforms keep changing, and she still loves having something new to figure out.. even when Google is responsible for the surprise. Ok, maybe “love is a very strong word for that”.

Areas of Paid Advertising Expertise

Rachel combines strategic oversight with hands-on campaign management. She’s comfortable looking at the big picture, getting into the details of an account, and helping her team connect the two.

  • Paid media strategy and account structure: Developing campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Meta Ads, with platform selection, campaign setup, and messaging shaped around each client’s goals.

  • eCommerce and lead generation: Building strategies that account for how customers shop, research, and make decisions, whether the goal is a product purchase or a qualified business inquiry.

  • Performance analysis and reporting: Using advertising platform data, GA4, and Supermetrics to understand performance, identify opportunities, and explain what the numbers mean for the business.

  • Testing and optimization: Evaluating audiences, bidding approaches, ad creative, and campaign structure, then using the findings to guide the next round of improvements.

  • Creative strategy: Turning performance insights into recommendations for messaging, imagery, and video, with a focus on giving audiences a reason to pay attention and take action.

  • Team leadership and development: Guiding team members through strategy, execution, and analysis while encouraging collaboration, thoughtful questions, and ownership of their work.

PPC Campaign Specialties

Rachel works extensively across search, shopping, display, video, and paid social. She helps guide campaigns from the initial strategy through launch and ongoing refinement, supporting her team while staying closely involved in testing and optimization.

Her campaign experience includes:

  • Google Ads: Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Shopping, and Display

  • Microsoft Ads: Search

  • LinkedIn Ads: Sponsored Content, Message Ads, website conversion campaigns, video ads, and text ads

  • Meta Ads: The full range of campaign types across Facebook and Instagram, from awareness and engagement to leads and sales

Industry Experience

Rachel’s client experience spans house plans, automotive dealerships, high-end women’s boutiques, dog supplies, pen kits, conferences and events, healthcare supplies, farm equipment, flashlights, aviation gear, magazines, and potato products. Yes, potatoes belong on the résumé.

That variety keeps her curious and reinforces the importance of getting to know each business: who its customers are, what matters to them, and what makes them ready to buy or inquire.

Outside of Work

A Colorado native, Rachel grew up in the foothills of Colorado Springs, home to what she confidently considers the best zoo in America. These days, her favorite company includes her very handsome toddler (who is also a genius - humble brag) and her two girl dogs, Annie and Juno. You’ll often find her buying her son things he absolutely does not need or romping around with the girl dogs. Everyone in this crew is a little spoiled.

When she finds a quiet moment, Rachel loves escaping into a fantasy novel. She also loves to travel, although le bébé has made spontaneous getaways a slightly more ambitious production. A beach trip, though? The answer is always yesssss.
